Asset completeness scoring explained

Every asset in Folelse has a completeness score from 0–100%. This shows how thoroughly you have documented the asset across all required fields. A higher score means the asset is better documented and contributes positively to your overall compliance posture.

How the score is calculated

Points are awarded for completing each field. Higher-weight fields contribute more to the score:

  • Asset name (required) — 5 points.
  • Asset type — 5 points.
  • Security classification — 10 points.
  • PID / special category flags set — 10 points.
  • Encryption status (at rest and in transit) — 15 points.
  • Asset owner assigned — 10 points.
  • Retention period set — 15 points.
  • Linked to at least one ROPA entry — 15 points.
  • Description / notes — 5 points.
  • International transfer flag reviewed — 10 points.

Why completeness matters

During an ICO investigation or DSPT submission, incomplete asset records are a common finding. Assets with scores below 60% are highlighted in amber on your dashboard. Assets below 40% are highlighted in red and included in your Reports as gaps requiring action.

Go to Dashboard → Reports to see a list of your lowest-scoring assets ranked by priority. This gives you a clear action plan for improving your information asset register.
