Customising dropdown values across the platform

Many fields in Folelse use dropdown menus populated from a customisable list. You can add, edit, or remove values to match your organisation's terminology and categorisation.

How to manage dropdown values

  1. 1 Go to Dashboard → Settings → Custom Values.
  2. 2 Select the dropdown list you want to edit from the left menu.
  3. 3 Click + Add Value to add a new option.
  4. 4 Click the edit icon to rename an existing value.
  5. 5 Click the delete icon to remove a value (values in use cannot be deleted — reassign records first).
  6. 6 Drag to reorder values.
  7. 7 Click Save.

Customisable dropdown lists

  • Processing purposes (ROPA).
  • Data categories (PID types, special categories).
  • Legal bases for processing.
  • Asset types and security classifications.
  • Risk categories.
  • Policy categories.
  • Department names.
  • Breach data types.
  • Supplier company types.

Add your organisation-specific terminology (e.g. "PAS — Patient Administration System" as an asset type) so records are meaningful to your team without requiring knowledge of generic compliance jargon.
