Customising dropdown values across the platform
Many fields in Folelse use dropdown menus populated from a customisable list. You can add, edit, or remove values to match your organisation's terminology and categorisation.
How to manage dropdown values
- 1 Go to Dashboard → Settings → Custom Values.
- 2 Select the dropdown list you want to edit from the left menu.
- 3 Click + Add Value to add a new option.
- 4 Click the edit icon to rename an existing value.
- 5 Click the delete icon to remove a value (values in use cannot be deleted — reassign records first).
- 6 Drag to reorder values.
- 7 Click Save.
Customisable dropdown lists
- Processing purposes (ROPA).
- Data categories (PID types, special categories).
- Legal bases for processing.
- Asset types and security classifications.
- Risk categories.
- Policy categories.
- Department names.
- Breach data types.
- Supplier company types.
Add your organisation-specific terminology (e.g. "PAS — Patient Administration System" as an asset type) so records are meaningful to your team without requiring knowledge of generic compliance jargon.
