NHS edition vs Standard UK edition — what's different
Folelse offers two editions: NHS / Healthcare and Standard UK. The edition is set during onboarding but can be changed in Settings. Your edition controls which modules are visible and which pricing applies.
NHS / Healthcare edition — additional modules
- DSPT Toolkit — assertion mapping, evidence linking, evidence pack export, and submission tracking.
- NHS CIS2 Smartcard SSO — single sign-on via NHS smartcard (requires the SSO add-on).
- Caldicott Guardian role — specialist dashboard and review workflows.
- National Data Opt-Out (NDO) tracking.
- Clinical Safety Assessments (DCB0129 / DCB0160).
- NHS-specific policy templates (IG Policy, Data Sharing Agreement, Caldicott Principles).
- ODS code linking on the organisation profile.
Standard UK edition — what's included
- Full ROPA, DPIA, SAR, Breach, Policy, Asset, Supplier, Risk, and Task modules.
- ICO registration tracking and renewal reminders.
- Cyber Essentials readiness tracking.
- Azure AD / Entra ID SSO (via SSO add-on).
- UK GDPR legal basis management.
- Standard UK policy templates.
How to switch edition
- 1 Go to Dashboard → Settings → Organisation Profile.
- 2 Change the Organisation Type field to your correct type.
- 3 Click Save.
- 4 NHS-specific modules appear or disappear in the sidebar immediately.
- 5 Note: switching from NHS to Standard UK will hide DSPT data — the data is not deleted and reappears if you switch back.

If your organisation is registered with NHS England and processes NHS patient data, you are required to complete the DSPT. Switching to Standard UK mode does not exempt you from this obligation.
